What are widgets?

Sometimes I get asked, what are widgets? These are some, a few from thousands ... Some are interactive devices and some are just a line of html or a home made image. But they are all widgets.

Best of all, GiftHat has a widget. So when you've made your gift list, you can show it on your site. (Or is that just plain greedy?)
