Widgets to pimp your myspace profile

There are lots of services emerging that let you enhance, customise or "pimp" your myspace profile.  One of the best ways to do this is with a "widget" of some description.  Widgets are a good way of adding colour and content to your myspace profile without making it completely unreadable and unusable.   Widgets typically work by letting you paste in a bit of text/ code into your profile which links to the widget site and serves up your photos, videos or other stuff in the widget on your myspace profile. 

Basecamp

We use Basecamp (who doesn't?). It's sorely lacking in some departments, but works well in others. We wish it would do more, but we like what it does do. How 2.0 is that?
We never earned a cent from our affiliate program, but they do offer one. Their domain is not intuitive, it's basecamphq.com. Enjoy.

Nabb it with Nabbr

Nabbr. Build a list of stuff. Choose from existing items, or you can add your own stuff. Why? Because it's there. Then, get the code:

and slap it in your site.

AllYouCanUpload

AllYouCanUpload is a free simple image embedding service. You upload an image and get a line of code. That's it. You embed the code and the image appears. Nothing more and nothing less than that. Does what it (sort of) says on the tin.

SearchVortal

SearchVortals allow you to create a search box for your site and then earn revenue from users of that box. In theory.

Gliffy

Gliffy has launched. It's a web application for drawing flow charts, floor plans, network layouts and the like. Very nicely implemented. Make an application and you can collaborate on it online - or embed it like this:

FeedIcon

Following on from FeedPass, my attention is drawn to  FeedIcon. FeedIcon will also give you a 'universal subscription button'. It's a lot simpler than FeedPass, but it doesn't go down the road of educating the user, which is where I think FeedPass will win out.
In FeedIcon's own words:

Zookoda

I've changed the newsletter signup form on our main site to use Zookoda. Zookoda gives you a bunch of tools for setting up subscription lists and mailing your blog contents or a newsletter or both to the subscribers. It's incredibly well done and, best of all, free!
You can go to the main Snipperoo site to sign up for the newsletter, which will also alert you when we open up for closed and then open beta testing. This will happen soon, sometime in June.
I'm also going to use Zookoda to build a list for subscription to this blog by email. If you signup on this, you'll get updates automatically by email. You can choose - RSS subscripton or email subscription, both using online services and both embedded here with code.

Eventful

Eventful is about collecting and listing events. You collect events, subscribe to events, and make your own calendar.  Once you've made your own calendar, or found an existing one you'd like to put on your site, they do make it easy for you, with this link . This gives you the code, which puts a live calendar on your site - that is, if you add to or remove items, your site updates.
